Lloyd’s marine insurance underwriters have specific requirements for surveys which have been prepared by the Joint Hull committee (JH), These give ship owners and managers an idea what each survey involves and what items the surveyor may be required to survey. The list is not exhaustive and some of the items will not be applicable to your fleet, the guidelines are very general for all vessels in all circumstances; they are only guidelines:
